Steps to make Veggie Tikki

  1. Peel and grate a pumpkin and squeeze the juice.
  2. Boil the peas in hot water for 5 minutes. Drain the water and place it in a small bowl. Chop the peas into large pieces.
  3. Add the peas, corn, onions, carrots, tomatoes, cornstarch, minced ginger, coriander leaves, green chilies, masala mountain, red chili powder, lemon juice, and salt.
  4. Stir to make a dough, scoop out 12 small balls, take one ball and gently squeeze it between your palms and form into a 1/2 inch thick round teak. Repeat for other balls.
  5. Dust the mites with chickpea flour.
  6. Preheat the pan until you get a nonstick coating. Pour 2-3/3-4 (to your liking) teaspoons of oil on top. Drop 2-3/3-4 ticks into the oil and fry until bottoms are golden brown (shallow fry).
  7. Flip each teak over, lightly oil the edges, and bake until the other side is golden as well.
  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the other ticks. Serve hot with ketchup or use as a burger.
